Since creating my first song on the Synthitone, I have been trying to resolve the issue of being able to record these creations. The Synthitone will only hold so much data, it seems, before emptying its memory. My luck took a turn for the best a couple of days ago.
What I found was a truly amazing device that easily records the Synthitone onto a disk. In only a day, I have managed to record many pieces of music, most of which reflect Ambientia itself. In addition, I have found 3 more different instrument devices to build into the Synthitone. It is now assembled in a cockpit fashion with 2 layers of instruments to the left, center, and right of me. I have chosen this configuration as a matter of convenience while making music. However, the more I look at it the more it resembles the controls of a traveling craft.
I have now set all my energies on creating music with the Synthitone. The date of December 7 is approaching very quickly and I want to ensure that I am ready. I do not know what to be ready for, just that I feel I should be ready for something. I still maintain that Ambientia will give me the answers that I seek, when the time is right.
The Synthitone has turned into quite the tool. Each time I play it I discover new things it can do to the sounds that it produces. The music that I am making is more dynamic in nature than I had ever imagined.
Early this morning, I was playing with one of the features that made the sound vibrate in nature. The sound produced was almost a pulsing flutter. As I adjusted the parameters of this particular sound, I noticed something happening around me. Similar to the portal that emerges for me to send these letters, a larger one appeared in front of me. The more effect I produced in the music, the larger the portal grew. Could this be a way of returning home? Perhaps I can send music to you, just as I send these letters?
As the day became later, I tried the pulsing notes again. This time, though, I added parts of the melody that I heard in the air when I first arrived on Ambientia. The portal grew quite large, and then stayed open. It was multi-coloured, and calm. There was a smooth energy about it and it seemed quite shallow. I thought this to be of some significance, as though it was waiting for something.
Not wanting to miss this opportunity, I took the disk of music that I had made over the past couple of days and tossed it into the portal. As fast as it was created and with a bright flash, the portal closed and my disk was gone. Perhaps this was a foolish act. I had no way of knowing where my only record of the music would end up. I sat in amazement as the reality of uncertainty set in. I decided to make some dinner and left the Shell.
I have now returned to the Shell, and I notice something odd about the Synthitone. I am certain that I powered it off when I left over 3 hours ago, and yet here it is, on. I am also noticing something else strange about it. The devices that have digital readouts have had their settings changed. As have the analog devices. The digital devices to the left of me are showing some odd numbers. Numbers that I am not aware of as being possible. One device has 89.5 on its readout and the other has 11.30.04 on its readout. The other digital device in front of me reads 2300. Looking at the analog devices, the one to the right of me has Vibrato is set to level C, Wavelength set to I, Frequency set to U, and the Repeater set to T. All of the other setting are turned off.
I just noticed something else. When I left for dinner, I had the recording device empty. Its indicator lamp is now blinking to indicate that a disk is inserted. How could this be? Perhaps a malfunction? I'll open it and find out.
Truly amazing! I just opened the recording device and there is a disk inside. It is the one that I put through the portal this afternoon! I can only assume that someone received it and sent it back to me.
Looking at these strange events closely, it almost seems that the odd readouts resemble a date. Could it be that something will take place 2 days from now? What of the other numbers and letters? A time? A setting? A location? I wonder who received my disk and what did they do with it?
