Analog synthesizers are wonderful devices that need a lot of care and attention. They were the pioneer devices of sound synthesis and dominated the electronic music genre until the progression of Digital synthesizers. Analog synthesizers never died out and have enjoyed a long, long life by being used today. These kinds of synthesizers are the most highly sought after by collectors. Part of what makes them analog in nature is that the sounds created from them are manipulated through a direct interface that the performer adjusts in real time.

This was the device that pushed the music of Arms Full of Sound very far ahead into new possibilities, even though it was made in the late 1970’s, and became part of the gear in 2002.
